Patriots Bills post game thoughts: Not the best day for New England

From the start of the game it was clear that the Patriots team that entered Sundays matchup as one of the hottest teams in the NFL was not on the top of their game.

New England struggled in almost every aspect of the game, specifically on the defensive side of the ball. While Belichick's defense was able to hold Buffalo to just 16 points, which is usually enough to win a game, the score didn't indicate how poorly the defense played. Buffalo moved the ball at will, and excelled in getting several different players involved.

Among the defensive players, Logan Ryan struggled the most, failing to make tackles and play effective in coverage. Tackling as a whole was an issue for New England's defense, giving Lesean McCoy and the rest of the Buffalo weapons too many second chances on plays that could have been shut down earlier.

Nonetheless, the majority of people around New England are not seeming to panic far too much. Knowing that a guy who wears the number 12 will be returning to the team this week, a Super Bowl run is still very much in play, still atop the AFC East.
