The Pats' wide receiver is scheduled to make close to $8 million next season, but he's 31 years old and only caught 33 passes for 333 yards and five touchdowns last season. If you've followed Amendola's career with the Patriots, then you know this isn't the first time he would be taking a pay cut.
Amendola restructured his contract last offseason after he was scheduled to make $12 million over the final two years of the deal. With a plethora of Patriots players up for new deals this offseason and Amendola's production not reflecting an $8 million price tag, re-doing his deal again makes all the sense in the world.
