Rob Gronkowski tries his hand at broadcasting; hilarity ensues

We all know that by now, Rob Gronkowski isn't just a damn good NFL tight end -- he's a well-traveled renaissance man as well. Whether or not it's minority-owning an NHL franchise, appearing on Madden covers or playing himself in Family Guy, Gronk pretty much does it all.

His latest venture? Sideline reporting.

Gronkowski joined Fox Sports on Sunday, as part of pre-race coverage for the Daytona 500. Along with Michael Waltrip -- who is making his final NASCAR start -- he surveyed the starting grid, and was tasked with interviewing drivers before the Great American Race.

Well, as luck would have it, Gronk couldn't find any drivers. He did find the Monster Energy Girls, though!

He asked one girl, Ashley, if she had a favorite speed limit, hoping to elicit the classic "69" response, but it didn't quite work out according to plan.

"I am hardcore, I like to go as fast as possible," Ashley responded.

That's an answer I can get on board with. On a track featuring speeds upwards of 200 miles per hour, 69 doesn't quite cut it -- as funny as it may be.

Gronk's appearance does make sense, too. He's been signed to an endorsement deal with Monster Energy, and Monster acquired the naming rights to NASCAR's top series in December.
