Patriots host restricted free agent running back Mike Gillislee

USA Today Sports

The Patriots are continuing to look at different ways to improve their backfield, as the team hosted restricted free agent running back Mike Gillislee on a visit.

Gillislee, 26, was most recently with the Buffalo Bills and offers a power running style that is currently missing in New England's backfield. He was given an original round tender, which means the Pats would have to give up a fifth round pick to Buffalo if they signed him.

Gillislee ran for 577 yards and eight touchdowns last season.
