They hear it, and it only adds fuel to the fire.

After a regular season in which they went 3-5 on the road, the New England Patriots have been victims of doubters and skeptics for months now. But after a hard fought, overtime battle with the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship, the Patriots are headed to their fourth Super Bowl in five seasons, including three straight.

“I’m too old, you’re too slow, we’ve got no skill position players, we’ve got no defense. (Expletive) that!” said Tom Brady to Chris Hogan after the game last night.

Also after the game, Brady reportedly went to see young superstar Patrick Mahomes. After putting up 31-second half points, Mahomes and company impressed Brady, and he wanted to express his gratitude of being able to compete with him.

“I just went and saw him,” Brady told NBC Sports’ Peter King. “I mean, he’s feeling like you think he’d feel when you lose a game like this. It hurts. He’s a hell of a… I mean, what a great young player. So impressed with his poise, his leadership. He is spectacular.”

Brady threw for 348 yards and led three scoring drives in the fourth quarter to help the Patriots advance to the championship game. The Patriots will take on the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII on Feb. 3.
