Tom Brady is already winning at Twitter

Just a few days into his newfound social media gig of Twitter, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is already on his game.

He started out with a Twitter debut on April Fool’s Day, joking that he would be retiring and tweeting in his spare time. And since then, he’s been playfully bantering back and forth with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and joking with Los Angeles Rams’ cornerback Aqib Talib about a career change.

After Talib tweeted a photo of himself throwing out the first pitch at a Tampa Bay Rays’ game with a caption of “When I see all these baseball contracts,” Brady fired back with “I’ve been trying to get the Expos back on the line for the past month!”

These tweets come just a few days after MLB stars Chris Sale and Xander Bogaerts signed pretty hefty contracts that are actually higher annual salaries than Brady’s and Talib’s.

Brady was actually drafted by the Montreal Expos in the 18th round back in 1995 for his catching skills, but he eventually decided on pursuing football at Michigan.

And the rest is history.
