2025-2026 Season... Thats a Wrap!

The Patriots lost Super Bowl 60, 29-13, to the Seattle Seahawks. After watching the post-game media and having a little while to digest the game, its a disappointing loss. It's not the worst feeling Patriots Super Bowl loss in my lifetime, but it still sucks. There are Super Bowls where you lose the game like the Giants loss in 2007/2011 or Philly in 2018 and it's brutal. You're left with no words to describe what you've watched, but this was not one of those losses. The Seattle Seahawks were the better team Sunday. With that being said, the defense played really well. There were a few crucial missed tackles but overall, they played a great game. They held Seattle to four field goals until the fourth quarter and Christian Gonzalez was phenomenal.

While the Pats over-exceeded their expectations by every metric possible, the name of the game is to win Super Bowls and they came up short this year. It's really easy and really simple to say that The Pats are in great shape moving forward. They have the most cap-space of any team this offseason and hold eleven draft picks in this years draft. They definitely have some spots that need to be addressed moving forward.

The most important spot in my opinion, is the offensive line. The Pats drafted Will Campbell with their fouth overall pick last year and with the 31st pick this year, they will most likely need to look in the free agency market to address this need. The Patriots offensive line play this post-season was poor. While they were able to overcome the poor play in their route to the Super Bowl, Seattle embarrassed the offensive line. Most importantly, the two rookies on the left side of the line were significantly outmatched. It's quite concerning moving forward, and if better options materialized they should definitely consider it.
