New York Jets expect big year from Aaron Maybin

“I expect him to have a big year rushing the passer for us,” [Rex] Ryan said. “And I also think knowing the system better, I think there’s some things that we can do with him. Maybe it’s some base situations as a backup that we can use him [in] also.”

If there's one thing the Jets and Patriots have in common, it's the lack of a pass rush.

Aaron Maybin was the 11th overall pick of the Buffalo Bills back in 2009 and had been a bust so far. He was cut last year and picked up by the Jets and actually had some success with six sacks and four forced fumbles.

Obviously if Maybin slides into a starter role and is able to produce for the Jets then that doesn't bode well for Tom Brady and company.
