Brandon Spikes returns to practice

Brandon Spikes returned to the line up full time today. He took part in drills playing middle linebacker with Jerod Mayo and Dont'a Hightower beside him. Spikes actually opened camp on the PUP list for about a day and had a limited workload up until today.

The health of Brandon Spikes could be a big factor in the success of this Patriots defense. As noted here, the Pats could actually end up having one of the best linebacker corps in the league.

Spikes had been rehabbing from off-season knee surgery.
