Kyle Love signs ERFA Tender

Kyle Love signed his Exclusive Rights Free Agent tender (ERFA). That means he is back under a one year contract for the league minimum. Love has proven a solid and scrappy player on the interior line ever since making the roster as an undrafted free agent. With Love in the fold the defensive line appears pretty well set both inside and out. This defense is shaping up to be one of the deeper units in the AFC. It seems the Pats are poised to greatly improve over last years defense that was at times awful. Although they were 15th in points per game against, the big plays on third down and the monumental lapses in coverage were well documented. A steady, reinforced front seven, and hopefully a healthier (Chung, Dowling) backfield should see improvements across the board.
