I wouldn't rule it out, and the same goes for Jabar Gaffney - who suffered an injury before being cut.

You can ask players like Ross Ventrone that when the Patriots cut you, that by no means is an indicator that you are gone forever. I could defintely envision Branch returning as well as Gaffney. I think both are much more valuable to the Patriots than any other team, due to their knowledge of the offense.

The reason why Branch was cut is unclear at this point. If I had to pick one of the two to come back it would probably be Gaffney, just because his injury is likely the reason why he is not on the roster right now.
