Ravens' Torrey Smith brother killed in accident, might not play

The status of Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith for Sunday night's game against the New England Patriots is in doubt after Smith's younger brother was killed in a motorcycle crash early Sunday morning.

According to ESPN's Sal Paolantonio, Smith left the Ravens' team hotel at 2 a.m. Sunday to be with his family in Virginia.

Smith told Ravens coach John Harbaugh that he wanted to play in Sunday night's game against the Patriots, a source told Paolantonio. Harbaugh told Smith that it was Smith's call to make.

Obviously awful news for Smith and his family. While this has a Patriots effect on the game tonight if Smith doesn't play, no fan ever hopes for something like this to happen to anyone. Wish the Smith family the best.
