Would the Patriots be interested in defensive end Jason Babin?

The Philadelphia Eagles defense has not looked very good in recent weeks allowing massive performances to two young quarterbacks in Robert Griffin III and more recently, Cam Newton Monday night. However, that doesn't mean the Patriots can't poach some of their talent. Beggars can't be choosers, right?


The Pats have been banged up all season in a variety of areas and with the unfortunate news of Jermaine Cunningham's four-game suspension for PED use Bill Belichick's defensive front could certainly use some help. While Perillo is right that Babin has underachieved this season, it can't be ignored that he was third in the NFL in sacks last season with 18 and is a nine year veteran. Seems like the type of guy Belichick should be seeking in this time of need.
