Tom Brady's record breaking performance
Today truly is Tom Brady day. On the 12th day of the 12th month of 2012, the New England Patriots QB was awarded the AFC Offensive Player of the Week award, for a record breaking 23rd time.
The MVP chants heard from the crowd during the Patriots 42-14 demolition of the Houston Texans are merited of Brady's performances this season. He had already won the award twice before Monday night's game, and his performance of 21-35, for 296 YDs, 4 TDs and 0 INTs was worthy of a third.
It's yet another record set by Brady. Not quite as impressive as his 50 TDs in 2007, or becoming the first unanimous MVP in 2010, but it's another reminder of just how terrific Tommy has been for us.
Not that he'll care. He's too busy gearing up for the San Francisco 49ers. Oh, and looking after Vivian.
