Anquan Boldin guarantees Baltimore Ravens victory, "We're gonna win"
The Patriots and Ravens squared off at Gilette Stadium in the AFC Championship game a year ago. The Patriots squeaked away with a 23-20 victory after Billy Cundiff missed an easy field goal to send the game to overtime.
That last fact has a lot of people thinking that this time around, the Ravens will get the better of the Patriots.
While that's not too surprising to hear from the media, hearing it from one of the Ravens' star receivers is another matter.
WEEI:
Well there you go, bulletin board material for the Patriots. Anquan Boldin has gone and pulled a Joe Namath.
Of course, we saw last week what kind of effect bulletin board material can have. The Houston Texans had a lot of that "nobody believes in us" factor going. The Boston Globe's Dan Shaugnessy wrote a column calling the Texans terrible, Arian Foster made it his twitter avatar and the Texans got blown out anyway.
None of that stuff came from the Patriots locker room though, and maybe that's the key. Ravens linebacker Brendon Ayanbedejo heavily criticized the Patriots on twitter on Sunday, but it wasn't taking things as far as Boldin did.
Guaranteeing a victory worked out pretty well for Joe Namath. The Ravens are confident, and despite being a nine point underdog, there's a lot of people out there that believe the Ravens can win this one.
You think Belichick will show this quote to the team?

WEEI:
On Wednesday, at the team’s practice facility in Owings Mills, Maryland, Boldin was asked why this year would be any different.
“[Because] we’ll make it different,” [Anquan Boldin] replied.
How?
“We’re gonna win,” he said without missing a beat.
