Could Dwight Freeney be on the Patriots' radar?

This season the Indianapolis Colts' stud All-Pro Dwight Freeney had a career-low 5 sacks to go with his 12 total tackles. This was mainly because of his position movement from Defensive End to Outside Linebacker, due to coach Chuck Pagano's 3-4 defense as well as some minor injuries. Well, Freeney is going to be a free agent this offseason, and Indianapolis' local Fox station made a report stating that the team may focus more on revamping their offensive line to protect Andrew Luck as well as adding more offensive weapons.

It's hard to imagine a Colts' defense without Dwight Freeney, but it may finally be time for the two to part ways. That naturally brings up the question, would the Patriots be interested in signing the 32 year-old? I personally can't see this happening. [Edit] While the Patriots run a 4-3 defense, Chandler Jones has shown plenty of potential plus Rob Ninkovich successfully made the transition to DE, there's really no need for Freeney on the D-line. The Patriots are also all set with OLB's with Mayo and Hightower. So, unless Freeney is dying to come to the Pats and really willing to take a serious pay-cut, I just don't see this even being considered by the Patriots.
