Danario Alexander re-signs with Chargers
In a small piece of free agency news, Danario Alexander has been resigned by the San Diego Chargers, ending any potential hopes of him joining a depleted Patriots receiving corps (although it never appeared to be a possibility in the first place).
Over the course of the off-season I was always hoping the Patriots would take a run at Alexander. I thought his size, physicality, and talent, combined with his breakout performance at the end of last year made him an intriguing option to fill the need at the position in New England. But obviously, whether it be because of his lingering knee concerns or the fact that the Chargers probably weren't going to let him get away, the Patriots were never really interested in Danario, and are left looking to the draft for a receiver.
