Rob Gronkowski looks "great" in offseason program, could avoid surgery

Awhile ago it was reported that Patriots star tight end could have to have a fourth surgery on his twice broken forearm. The reason being that there was an infection that would not go away. The surgery could keep Gronk out of all of training camp and perhaps even some of the regular season.

It was then later reported that Gronk's camp was intending on delaying the surgery, hoping the infection would clear up on it's own.

The strategy seems to have worked, at least so far. According to a source close to Mike Reiss.

ESPNBoston:
Gronkowski has been working in the Patriots’ offseason program, and for what it’s worth, one opinion from someone who has seen him is that he “looks great.”

Does this mean that Gronk will be able to never have that surgery? Apparently he is weeks away from getting a clear answer on that. Right now things look good but, as Reiss points out, you never know.
