Rex Ryan on Tim Tebow: “If they want to replace Brady with him, that’s fine.”

The ever quotable Rex Ryan.

The New York Jets head coach is always good for saying something funny. Of course, Patriots fans have grown to hate him for his bombastic predictions and Patriots trash talk, however, Ryan isn't all trash talk. He breaks out the jokes too!

Ryan held a press conference today for Jets minicamp and obviously Tim Tebow came up. The Patriots just signed Tebow yesterday after he was released by the Jets a few months ago.

Rex had nothing support for his former wild cat QB, calling him a "tremendous young man". He wouldn't have any problem with a switch at quarterback in New England.

New York Daily News:
But isn’t Ryan the least bit curious about how his division rivals will use Tebow?

“Not really,” Ryan said. “If they want to replace Brady with him, that’s fine.”

Of course, Tom Brady hasn't lost to the New York Jets in two years after struggling with Ryan's squad when the boisterous coach first came aboard. So yeah, I'm sure he's a little sick of Brady.

Unfortunately for Ryan, in all likelihood Tebow won't be playing quarterback anytime soon. Tom Brady won't be coming off the field for that guy. It's my theory that Tebow will be used to help the team game plan and practice for the many mobile quarterbacks they'll face this season and beyond.

After more and more Tebow questions, Ryan ended that topic with another good joke

“All these questions are probably better served to ask New England and Belichick," he said. "I’m sure you’ll get the answers from him.”

Nice one, Rex.
