2013 Over/Unders: Patriot Wins

Heading into training camp and the preseason we'll be posting some Over/Under predictions for the upcoming year, and give PatsLife nation a chance to voice their opinions. First up: 2013 regular season victories.

OVER/UNDER: 10 wins

Prediction- Over (11 wins): The Patriot's roster heading into this season has more question marks than any team in recent memory, particularly on the offensive side of the ball. That being said, I tend not too worry to much about the offense as I am confident the Brady/Belichick/McDaniels contingent are intelligent and talented enough to make it work. And there is still a ton of skill on offense, particularly in the backfield where Ridley and Vereen are poised to have big years.

The defense has improved as well. By how much is yet to be seen, but there has been an upgrade from last year. Resigning Aqib Talib was important, as was Alfonso Dennard avoiding jail time. With McCourty at safety and a strong linebacker group and D-line, this unit should fare better than last season's.

That being said, I do not think this year's team will meet or exceed the twelve wins of last year. Their schedule is tougher and as mentioned earlier, there has been a moderate drop in the offensive attack. Weeks 4-6 will likely be the team's toughest stretch, when they face the Falcons, Bengals, and Saints. But playing in the AFC East, I am confident this team will secure 11 victories and a high seed heading into the playoffs.
