Amendola the lone standout?

NFL.com today released an article saying that Danny Amendola was the lone standout of all the a patriots receivers. Their reasoning was that with all the veterans gone, Brady was forced to work with a very young roster.

The Pats relied heavily on a combination of three-receiver and two-tight end sets (making up 90 percent of their snaps in 2012, per Football Outsiders), but the loss of Aaron Hernandez and a slew of veteran pass-catchers has Tom Brady working with mostly newbies in training camp.

After what I had viewed yesterday, I can assure you that Amendola is NOT the only standout... Not in any way. For starters, Aaron Dobson is absolutely Dialed in on the Offense, he was lights out last night catching everything that came his way. He will be back on Thursday after getting cleated, and he is going to be a HUGE asset come the regular season.

Second, Thompkins is dialed in as well. Although he is also a rookie, he is still flashing excellence in the slot, while catching everything Brady throws at him. Now I'm not saying that Amendola isn't good, he just isn't the only weapon that the Patriots will have. Between himself, Dobson and Thompkins, Beady is going to have plenty of choices when it comes to Passing.

Rest assured, the Patriots will be okay
