Patriots cut Justin Francis, four others

The Patriots have released DE Justin Francis, LB Ja'Gared Davis and DB Kanorris Davis, according to a league source.

Justin Francis is the big surprise here. The Patriots are now incredibley thin on the defensive line. It's a weakness they've chosen to have too, as they've released nearly all of their defensive tackles.

Justin Francis was an undrafted free-agent out of Rutgers last year, he made the team and had some shining moments. He struggled this training camp with injuries.

Another move is likely coming to shore up that defensive line. For now, the Patriots have one more move to make to get to the 53 man roster.
