Right before Sunday's 23-3 win over the Buccaneers, ESPN added a bit of fuel to the growing fire of doubt behind the Patriots and their rookie receivers. It had been reported that Tom Brady had been in communication with Brandon Lloyd and Deion Branch in an effort to get the two to come back to New England for the year to add some veteran talent. As masslive.com learned yesterday, that was not the case. Brady had this to say about the allegations..

“No, I haven’t talked to those guys in a while, I love both of them. They’re good friends and great teammates, but I haven’t talked to either of them in a while.”

It is safe to say that Dobson and Kenbrell Thompkins showed all of us that we are going to be okay for a bit with rookie receivers. Gronk, Amendola and Vereen will all be back and we will be good to go. But even for now, we don't have to much to worry about. The Patriots proved yesterday that they can step it up and perform, and that we should probably just sit back and get ready for the ride. All will be fine in Patriots nation, we just have to let them perform.
