Brandon Lloyd has no interest in playing, rejected offers from six teams

Our own Liam Cunningham wrote today about the pros and cons of bringing back Brandon Lloyd to the Patriots. Despite reports that Lloyd was ready to retire, we assumed that this was merely because no team was interested in him.

Apparently, it's the other way around.

"The Patriots, Jets, and 49ers are among at least six teams that have approached Lloyd about playing in 2013," writes ProFootballTalk's Mike Florio. "Per a source with knowledge of the discussions, Lloyd consistently has rejected all overtures."

Many of you seemed pretty excited about the concept of bringing back Brandon Lloyd. Certainly, the team's current receiving corps is inspiring little confidence. Their number one receiver for the Jets game will probably be Julian Edelman...

It seems that Lloyd has no interest in suiting up for the Patriots again, or any other team for that matter.

Lloyd had a largely up and down season last year. He certainly didn't look completely washed up and would be an upgrade for any team. However, if his hearts not in it, he's not going to do any team good.

The receiver will probably go down in history as a largely forgettable journeyman who had one really good year.
