Browns trade Trent Richardson to Colts, Brian Hoyer to start

So, here's your Cleveland Browns news!

The new regime under Michael Lombardi just made a rare blockbuster move, trading last year's first round pick Trent Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts for a 2014 first rounder, according to SI.

Richardson has struggled with injuries in his young career, but has at times shown why he was drafted so high. This makes the Indianapolis Colts' offense much more dangerous and dynamic. They were previously relying on Ahmad Bradshaw on the ground, Richardson will add some explosion to a ground game that hasn't been significant since Edgerrin James.

In addition to the blockbuster move, it was also announced today that former Patriot Brian Hoyer will start this Sunday for Cleveland in place of the injured Brandon Weeden.

Hoyer was always a fan favorite, the undrafted quarterback didn't see much playing time behind Tom Brady, but he really took advantage of his opportunities. He led a couple of late drives in preseason games, and even had a number of highlight worthy plays in garbage time of some games.

It's good to see Hoyer getting another opportunity, too bad he won't have Richardson to hand it off to.

The Browns have Willis McGahee in for a physical.
