Contest: Win a Patriots jersey, Vote for the Road to MetLife Stadium Patriots MVP - Week 3

As the Patriots begin their quest to MetLife Stadium for the Super Bowl, we've decided to chronicle that journey by highlighting the heroes from each game.

The Patriots game against the Buccaneers was much more comfortable than we're used to, and there were plenty of players who rose to the occasion to help secure that victory. Of course, in a game that's not as tight as the first two weeks, it's really hard to identify who the hero of the game was.

Luckily for us, the burden of that decision falls to you.

All year long, we'll be running a contest to celebrate the Road to MetLife stadium, asking you guys to weigh in on who the MVP of each game is. As a reward, the jersey of the Patriots player to earn the most votes the entire year will be given away to a random person that weighed in on our weekly polls.

Here's how it works.

Each week, you will vote in the poll below for who you think deserves to win MVP for that week's game. Each vote earns you 1 entry into this raffle. That means if you vote every single week, you'll have a total of 16 entries. You can earn additional entries by liking us on facebook, following us on twitter, and tweeting about the contest. Please see below for easy access to doing all of that!

So, now the question remains. Who was the Patriots MVP in their win over the Buccaneers?

The Patriots on the defensive side of the ball really shined again in this one, particularly Aqib Talib. The reigning Patriots MVP grabbed another interception in this one that really swung the momentum in the game. Seemingly from that point on the Patriots started to dominate the game.

Talib wasn't the only one, Brandon Spikes and Jerod Mayo were beasts with 5 tackles a piece. Tommy Kelly and Chandler Jones also caused havoc in the backfield for Josh Freeman.

Of course, kickers are part of the team too! Stephen Gostowski made all three of his field goal attempts, include a career-tying 53 yarder.

For the first time all season, the offense finally seemed to show up as well. Especially the rookie receivers. Aaron Dobson had seven catches and a Patriot leading 10 targets. Kenbrell Thompkins might be the biggest standout though for his two touchdown grabs. It seemed like the rookies finally found a connection with Tom Brady. Speaking of Brady, he didn't play his best game, but still seemed to figure out the Bucs defense and proceeded to march down the field with ease from the second quarter on. Though he threw a red zone interception, he did have the two touchdown throws.

Another unsung hero is Brandon Bolden. He didn't get many touches, but he made the most of them. He averaged 17 yards per carry and 9.8 yards per catch. Pretty good.

It should be an exciting year as we journey towards MetLife Stadium in February. We're looking forward to more victories and more Patriots MVPs! Make sure to vote today!
