Patriots move to 3-0 after trouncing Buccaneers, 23-3

The much maligned Patriots rookie receivers may have finally had their coming out party today.

After struggling to get on the same page as Tom Brady in the first few weeks of the season, Kenbrell Thompkins and Aaron Dobson took advantage of the extra time to prepare. Thompkins caught two touchdowns and Dobson hauled in seven passes on the way to a 23-3 home victory over the Buccaneers.

The Patriots defense obviously shares much of the credit for the win, holding the Buccaneers to zero red zone touchdowns on two attempts. The Buccaneers seemed to have control of the game early but missed a field goal and two fourth down attempts. The Bucs were 0-4 on fourth down on the day.

The Patriots move to 3-0 after their most inspiring win of the year. They face the Falcons at home on Sunday Night Football next week.
