The good, the bad and the ugly of week three

Finally we have a dominant win on the season. After escaping the first two weeks, the Pats crushed the Buccaneers 23-3 this past Sunday.

The Good
Kenbrell Thompkins

Kenbrell Thompkins, The undrafted rookie, finally made an impact on the Pats offense by catching two touchdown passes from Tom Brady. The first was a nice catch and run for the rookie's first touchdown catch of his career. The second was another red zone catch that extended the Patriot lead.

The Bad
Tom Brady interception

When your quarterback throws two touchdown passes and consistently moves the ball up the field, it's generally a good day. But when you have Tom Brady on your team, you expect nothing less than greatness. Brady ended up targeting Aaron Dobson on a pass that should have been a touchdown but fell in front of the receiever and then on the ensuing play, Brady threw an interception that would have been his third TD of the game.

The Ugly
Return Game

With Matthew Slater and Leon Washington both hurt, the return game has struggled to have a spark. LaGarrette Blount is currently the team's first kick return option but it may be wise to start auditioning for the role. The 250 lb running back is just not providing a spark that Pats fans have been used to in recent years.
