Report: Rob Gronkowski to return Sunday to rescue Patriots

Tom Brady might finally have a receiver he was actually throwing to fairly often last year.

Star tight end and all around party animal Rob Gronkowski is expected to finally return to the field after sitting out the first five weeks recovering from back and multiple forearm surgeries.

Rob Gronkowski might not actually be able to single-handedly save the Patriots, but he sure will help. The effect that the "Gronk Chomp" has on this offense is very tangible.

For instance, the Patriots currently have one of the worst redzone offenses in the league, failing to score from the 1 yard line last week. Last year, the Patriots were the third best red zone offense in the league. A lot of that was helped by Gronk in the first 11 weeks of the season, as he has a league leading 29 redzone TDs since entering the league.

Gronk is no one-dimensional player either, he also helps dramatically in the run game with his blocking.
