Vince Wilfork surgery successful, tweets thoughts
New England Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork underwent successful Achilles surgery today. While the Pats defensive leader won't see the field again until next season, he did take the time to thank fans and encourage the team.
Wilfork's wife Bianca also tweeted this pic of Vince post surgery:
While the Patriots have not made a formal announcement that Wilfork's season is indeed over, but head coach Bill Belichick said Monday on WEEI FM, "I think he's got a pretty serious injury and it's probably unlikely that he'll be able to play again this year."
