UPDATE: Dennard and Gregory both ruled out of clash against the Panthers

Alfonzo Dennard is in doubt for Monday's game against Carolina after missing practice Saturday because of a knee injury. He's been limited in practice all week while dealing with this injury. Steve Gregory (broken thumb) was the lone player out of practice this week until Dennard sat out practice today.

If Dennard does play, the Patriots probably won't take too many chances, if any, with him because he's a key player in the Patriots secondary. It does not seem likely that Dennard will see any time against Carolina, though, if he's missing a practice this close to a game. The Patriots and Dennard are probably just being cautious because, like I just mentioned, it would be a big loss if he did something to injure that knee further and had to miss significant time. Dennard is an important player and the Patriots have to be careful with him.

UPDATE:
Dennard (knee) and Gregory (thumb) are both ruled out of Monday night's game against the Panthers, per NESN.
