Patriots Injuries help Patriots

The New England Patriots will showcase the likes of Danny Amendola, Shane Vereen and Rob Gronkowski on Monday night vs. Carolina unless the unexpected occurs.

Those three names have never been on the same field together for the Pats and this Monday will change that.

Running Back Shane Vereen is returning from short term IR and has been practicing with the team this week coming off a badly broken wrist. Vereen is filling the Danny Woodhead role for the Pats and did sufficiently well vs. Buffalo in week one with 14 attempts for 100 yards and 1 reception for 7 yards. Vereen is the Patriots most athletic back and will be hungry to show it versus a stout Carolina defense.

Rob Gronkowski returned in week seven versus the New York Jets. He's been Brady's favorite target the moment he stepped into MetLife stadium. He has had 19 receptions for 284 yards and one touchdown. Gronkowski is questionable for Sunday but don't let Belichicks routine fool you.

Danny Amendola is the guy you have to feel for. He takes the big hits but sometimes just can't get up from them. Amendola has had yet another injury plagued season so far but did show promise versus the Steelers where he caught the first touchdown of the game for the Patriots. Amendola has had 23 receptions for 296 yards and a touchdown to show for so far this season but you can never doubt his talent that could spark at any moment.

These three guys can take the Pats all the way if they want to. The key to it is, stay healthy as much as possible. The NFL will for the first time see the new Patriots offense and you can guarantee every Broncos, Chiefs and Panthers fans will be watching.

The Pats have the advantage of surprise and Belichick will exploit it in any and every way.

Look out NFL the Brady Bunch is back.
