Fantasy Fix: Week 12 - Waiver Wire Blues

With Week 11 in the books, the Fantasy season is grinding down to it’s last three games. Bring on the playoffs. The contenders may have separated from the pretenders, but there’s still roster juggling to do with the last week of byes here.
The Buffalo BillsCincinnati BengalsPhiladelphia Eagles and Seattle Seahawks are all off this week. Can’t Nick Foles play for Jaguars this week?
With so much talent on the bench, it’s time to sing the waiver wire blues and run down the players owned in 50% or less leagues, position-by-position and bring in the reinforcements.
Quarterback
Mike Glennon, (TB) at Det: Glennon put up 21 Fantasy points on Atlanta last week and faces a Lions team that has allowed multiple passing touchdowns in each of their past five games. With Russell Wilson, Nick Foles and Andy Dalton on byes, Aaron Rodgers hurt and Colin Kaeprnick struggling, Glennon is worth a look. These byes are killing me. Fantasy projection: 17.50 points.

Running Back
Bobby Rainey, (TB) at Det: Is this an all Buccaneer blog this week? No, disembodied voice of the Fantasy Junkies, but Rainey is worth all your Fantasy love. Rainey scored over 30 points in standard leagues and 40 in ppr last week. He won’t do that again Sunday, but your roster needs some November Rainey. Cue guitar solo. Fantasy projection: 12 points.

Wide Receiver
Nate Burleson, (DET) vs. TB: Yes, it appears we have an all Lions/Bucs waiver wire team this week. Whatever. We want to win. Burleson is due back from a broken arm on Sunday. He may not put up big numbers this week, but he’s a sleeper playoff stash on a team that like to throw. Time to take some chances. Fantasy projection: 7.50 points.

Tight End
Delanie Walker, (TEN) at Oak: Walker has three touchdowns in his past four games and gets a Raiders D that has allowed three touchdowns to tight ends in the past three games. According to my Magic 8-Ball, all signs point to a Walker TD. Fantasy projection: 11 points.

Defense/Special Teams
Dallas Cowboys at NYG: The G-Men have given up the most fantasy points to Fantasy Defenses this season. That won’t change this week.Fantasy projection: 11.50 points.

Kicker
Ryan Succop, (KC) vs. SD: Succop is averaging over 10 points in his last three. Talking about kickers is almost as fun as a root canal. Fantasy projection: 10 points.
