Report: Alfonzo Dennard Likely to miss Broncos Game, Possibly Longer

Just as I feared earlier today, the Patriots will be shorthanded at cornerback going into next week's showdown against Denver.

Dennard was a limited participant in practice last week until Friday, when his knee injury presumably flared up and prevented him from practicing or playing in last night's game. The fact that he has already been ruled out this week suggests that the injury is more severe than it was initially suspected.

The Patriots will surely miss Dennard when they take on Peyton Manning's top ranked passing offense this week, especially considering Aqib Talib and Kyle Arrington are also battling nagging injuries. Logan Ryan will likely see an increased role in his absence.
