A lot of names involved in this story, and the one talking the most didn't even play last night.

One particular dirty play caught the eye of Tampa Bay Bucs defensive lineman Gerald McCoy. Patriots offensive lineman Marcus Cannon was beat by Panthers' Charles Johnson and then stuck his leg out to trip him. The result was Johnson being carted off the field.

McCoy didn't like that.

Johnson is having an MRI today but was able to come back after the injury. For his part, Marcus Cannon did offer an apology to him.

ProFootballTalk:
According to Albert Breer of the NFL Network, Johnson said after the game that Cannon sought him out on the field at the conclusion of the game to apologize for the play. Breer also reported the injury was a mild MCL sprain.
