Guess who told Richie Incognito to haze Jonathan Martin? Ok, it was the coaches

Pretty soon everyone could be gone from the Dolphins organization!

Apparently the Dolphins coaches didn't like that Jonathan Martin didn't show up for a voluntary workout in the offseason. So, they told Richie Incognito to toughen him up. That sure worked out!

All the maniacal Incognito did was scare the shit out of Martin. To the point that Martin left the facility last week never to come back. It can be argued all day whether or not Incognito was doing anything out of the ordinary in an NFL locker room environment (he probably was) and whether or not Martin should've stood up for himself (he probably should've, if he never did in the first place). Either way you slice it though, the Dolphins are staring at one big old fashioned PR disaster and a potential lawsuit from Martin's camp.

The NFL is investigating "Bully-Gate" and we could see it treated much the same as "Bounty-Gate" with dynamic effects felt across the NFL. If the Dolphins coaches didn't tell Incognito to toughen up Martin, they aren't publicly saying so.

ProFootballTalk:
Fact: The South Florida Sun-Sentinel has reported that Dolphins coaches asked Incognito to “toughen up” Martin.

Fact: In response to that report, the Dolphins have said nothing.

Well, the Dolphins haven’t said nothing. They’ve said they’ve got nothing to say.

“Because of the NFL review, we are not in a position to comment on any aspects of this matter,” the team said in a statement issued to PFT.

It's not out of the realm of possibility that the coaches told one of the leaders on their team (Sad enough that Incognito is a leader) to straighten out a player that wasn't showing up to a voluntary workout.

However, I think everyone can agree that the conversation didn't go like this.

Coach Philbin: Richie I need you to do something for me

Richie: Yes, coach?

Philbin: Here dial Jonathan Martin right now, and repeat everything I say.

Richie: Sure coach.

Philbin: Tell him you want to poop in his mouth.

Richie: what?

Philbin: SAY IT! TELL HIM YOU'LL SHIT IN HIS MOUTH.

Which is a stupid way of saying that I don't think the coaches expected Richie Incognito to call Martin a half n word and tell him he'd poop in his mouth and slap his mother, (Related: Report: Richie Incognito Called Jonathan Martin a "Half N*****", Threatened to Poop in his Mouth )

Still, just the fact that they potentially initiated all of this madness will put the jobs of Coach Joe Philbin and GM Jeff Ireland on the line. For a team that was supposed to compete to knock off the Patriots in the AFC east this year, they've got a lot bigger problems to worry about. Oh yeah, and they're playing on Monday Night Football this week, so check that out.
