Patriots picking up points when needing it most

New England was treated to a great game today! Finally the offense explodes, something Patriots fans have waited weeks and months for to happen. But the Patriots are scoring where they need it most, in the second half of games.

Take into account last week against Miami and again tonight against Pittsburgh. New England was behind 17-3 going into the locker room before erupting for 24 points. In the Steelers game, the Patriots once again exploded in the second half scoring 28 points in the fourth quarter alone.

Doing the math, (hopefully correctly I might add) the Patriots have scored 109 of their 234 points in the second half which is a percentage of 46.58%.

Why is this so important? Because when it comes down to it and your offense needs points, Tom Brady and the Patriots offense has shown they can be trusted more times than not. If it wasn't for a few comeback drives from the offense and Tom Brady, the Patriots would have lost against Buffalo, New Orleans, and Miami. Making this team a 4-5 team instead of a 7-2 team.

So fans, entering the bye week, it seems your team has returned (hopefully) back to normal. And while players keep going down, the one thing that doesn't seem to be slowing down is this Patriots offense and their ability to score when it counts.
