Roster flurry: Dolphins steal back a player, Titans sign Leon Washington and more

There was quite a bit of movement on the Patriots roster today. We'll run down all the action.

Yes, on a Tuesday, roster moves count as action.

1. The Dolphins stole back A.J. Francis- Earlier this year, the Dolphins waived defensive lineman A.J. Francis, and he wound up getting picked up by the Patriots. Francis was apparently walking into a team meeting when he got the news he'd been waived and claimed by the Patriots.

The Pats later waived Francis and put him on their practice squad. Apparently the Dolphins were missing him though as they have now signed him off of the Patriots P-squad, according to WEEI.

2. Leon Washington, now a Titan- Leon Washington was one of the team's biggest signings in the off-season.

So far, he's been an afterthought.

It was a big deal when the team released him back in September just after roster cut downs. That move was met with much uproar from fans who had high hopes for Washington to solve the team's kick return woes. Washington was back six days later, and ended up spending most of the time on the inactive list with problems with his ankle. He was waived before the Broncos game, to make room for CB Justin Green to come off the practice squad. This time though, the Titans have signed him.

3. Patriots waive two players, add Ryan Mallett's favorite player- Speaking of Justin Green, he has served his purpose and was placed back on waivers along with DT Marcus Forston. Green is likely to go back to the practice squad. Also, the Pats signed D.J. Williams who won the Mackey award with Mallet as an Arizona Razorback. All according to Boston.com
