Interim coach Jack Del Rio says Wes Welker has passed the concussion test and will likely play on Sunday night, per Albert Breer of the NFL Network. This after Welker suffered a nasty hit during the Broncos game with the Kansas City Chiefs. He had to undergo a mandatory procedure to make sure he was good to go.

Jeff Howe also tweeted out this quote from Del Rio:
Del Rio on Welker: "If you had the 'definitely will go' category, he’d probably be on there."

I think everyone was waiting to here this news, so we could either cheer Welker's accomplishments with the Patriots or boo him for leaving (I'm thinking most Pats fans will lean towards the latter), but either way, I think Patriots fans would have been severely disappointed had Welker not played. I think most of us want the satisfaction of beating the Broncos with Welker on the field. This is a crucial match up as far as playoff seeding will go. It's also good way for the Patriots to make a statement that they don't need Welker anymore and a way to say "We can beat anyone, any time, anywhere, and we don't care who may or may not be on your team."
