Guess which Patriots player made the Pro Bowl?

Well actually, four Patriots made the team.

Tom Brady, Logan Mankins, Matthew Slater and... Aqib Talib!

That's right. The Patriots star corner who missed several weeks mid-season was still able to get into the Pro Bowl.

No doubt he is still having a fantastic year, but at least I was surprised because of all of the time he missed due to injury. From a Patriots fan perspective, this means very little unless you're planning on watching the Pro Bowl. However, it could cause Talib's price to go up this off-season with that notch under his belt.

It is Talib's first ever pro bowl selection, while the others player have been here before.

This will be Logan Mankins' fifth consecutive Pro Bowl, though to be honest, he does tend to get in more based on name than performance. For instance, he was elected in 2011 despite playing the entire year with a torn ACL.

This will also be three straight for Matthew Slater, who gets in as the special teams player.

Brady has been voted in nine times, with this being the fifth consecutive time. He barely ever actually appears for the game though.

Notably excluded is Safety Devin McCourty. By all accounts, McCourty was having one of the best seasons at the safety position outside of Seattle's Earl Thomas. San Diego's Eric Weddle got the Free Safety Pro Bowl spot instead. Fair or not, but McCourty has only one interception and that possibly factored into the decision.

Stephen Gostowski was also snubbed, but that was expected due to the career year Baltimore's Justin Tucker is having. If it weren't for Tucker, Gostowski would certainly be in.
