Gronk headed to Florida for surgery

Stop me if you've heard this one: Tight end Rob Gronkowski will have surgery this off-season, according to the Boston Herald.

Gronkowski took a brutal shot to the knees in the 27-26 win at home to Cleveland and tore his ACL and MCL in the process. Gronk will meet with his agent Drew Rosenhaus before flying down to Florida to have the necessary procedure with Dr. James Andrews, according to the Herald. Timetables for his return are varied, with some suggesting he'll be ready for next season and others not as optimistic.

Personally, I hope Gronk is back sooner rather than later, so we can avoid the drama that went on at the beginning of this season. And if he could avoid having another injury, that would help - easier said than done, though. In the meantime, all the best to Gronk, and a speedy recovery.
