Richard Sherman says he has no animosity towards Tom Brady and the Patriots

Richard Sherman, I think, isn't such a bad guy.

He can get a little excited, a little boastful maybe, but all in all he hasn't done too much to justify the hate that has rained down upon him the past week or so.

Of course, this is a country that famously hated on an athlete for wanting to move out of Cleveland, so it is what it is.

If any two fanbases should really have a beef with Sherman, it'd probably be 49ers fans and Patriots fans. Sherman's latest public trash talk surrounded San Francisco receiver Michael Crabtree. After the game, Sherman screamed at Erin Andrews about Crabtree, and thus the controvery started and Sherman was thrust into the public eye.

Of course, all of this really started a year ago. Sherman first made a name for himself by publicly dissing one of the most famous players to ever play the game: New England Quarterback Tom Brady.

Remember this tweet?

Back then, Sherman was such a relative unknown that the title of our post on that bit of news was "Seahawks corner mocks Tom Brady on twitter". Of course, now everyone can easily recognize the name Richard Sherman and some have even joined in on the hate.

Sherman has no hate for the Patriots though, even if the unforgiving fanbase has not yet forgotten that post-game e-tirade.

Boston Herald:
“I don’t have any lingering animosity,” Sherman said of Brady and the Pats. “I mean, you go out there to win. You go out there to play the game to win, and that’s what we do every time. That’s regardless of who the opponent is.”

It certainly seems like Sherman has moved on. Have you? Will you be rooting for Sherman's Seahawks in the Super Bowl? Comment below.
