Tom Brady on Richard Sherman: “We win with graciousness”

During his interview yesterday with WEEI, Brady was played Richard Sherman's interview after assisting in the game winning interception. If you haven't watch this yet, today is your lucky day.

Brady was slow to respond, but had this to say:
“I don’t know him at all. I’ve watched him play. He’s that kind of guy so . . . you know . . . I approach the game and I have respect for my opponents. That’s the way our team always plays.

We win with graciousness, when we lose we could do better. Some teams don’t always do that or that’s not their program.”

Brady then goes on to say that the only way to handle the talk is to beat them, saying "When you don’t win . . . You just gotta shut your mouth and listen to it."

This rant has thrown the internet into a tizzy with everyone giving their take on Sherman and his rant and if he's a dick or just really amped up. My thoughts are that he isn't a dick, he's just really competitive and doesn't know when to be quite. He's gone on to apologize for the rant and even wrote an interesting piece on the MMQB explaining his actions.

The dude is obviously smart and well put together, he just needs to learn to control his emotions in the heat of battle. Or don't. If he can take the backlash why change? It is extremely entertaining.
