Greg Bedard, formerly of the Boston Globe and current analyst for TheMMQB.com released his top 100 free agent list. 4 Patriots made the cut, with Aqib Talib leading the way at 17, Lagarrette Blount at 52, Julian Edelman at 58, and Brandon SPikes at 67 according to Masslive.com.

The fact that Blount ranks ahead of Edelman was surprising, given that Masslive is reporting that Edelman is viewed as a priority by many beat writers. However, this list seems to be based purely on Edelman's skill set rather than his value as a free agent. If it were me, I would have ranked Edelman higher because I think he is more important to the Patriots plans next season than Blount, but that's just me. Of course, it would be great if the Patriots could bring them both get, but if they don't have the cap room, then the Pats may have to prioritize and decide whether the run game or pass game is more important in 2014.

If it were me making the list, I probably would have ranked Edelman higher because he'll probably prove more valuable to the Patriots plans in the end.
