Welker: Loss was embarrassing

The Denver Broncos didn't just lose Super Bowl 48, they were embarrassed. Whatever you predicted for a final score, I doubt you predicted a lopsided score like this. If you did...well, I hope you put money on it because you could have won more than a pretty penny.

Peyton Manning might not believe his team's performance in last night's game was embarrassing, but one of his top receivers, Wes Welker, had other ideas, according to CSNNE.

"This was embarrassing," he told reporters after the game. "No way I expected anything like this to happen."

Short, sweet, and to the point, Wes. At least when you were with the Patriots, you had a chance to hoist the Lombardi Trophy. Both of the Patriots Super Bowl losses with Welker happened in the final seconds of the game, unlike this game. Denver never stood a chance from the first snap - literally. The first offensive snap for Denver resulted in a safety, and they never looked like getting into any sort of rhythm after that. Peyton threw 2 picks and there was another fumble later in the game, as opposed to 0 turnovers for Seattle.

So, here's my final parting message to Wes: Maybe if you had stayed in New England, you might have actually had a chance to win a ring. Just some food for though.
