Adam Schefter says Patriots about to get busy, host slot receiver Brandon LaFell

When Adam Schefter says something about your team, you want to listen.

That's the case this morning, with Schefter implying that today could be a day all about the Patriots. This after the team was relatively quiet yesterday.

We posted on linebacker Wesley Woodyard's visit yesterday, which would be largely a depth signing.

The latest news comes regarding Carolina wide receiver Brandon LaFell, who will be visiting with the team today.

It's a bit strange that they are interested in LaFell, who primarily played out of the slot in Carolina. Seeing as the Pats already have Danny Amendola on the roster, and they are working to retain Julian Edelman, I'm not sure how LaFell fits.

Of course, it could just be a backup plan incase they end up losing Edelman, which wouldn't be unexpected.

LaFell has 49 catches for 627 yards and 5 touchdowns last year in Carolina.
