For those hoping Peyton Manning's football days were done, think again

2013 could've very well been the last year we saw Peyton Manning.

A report surfaced during the playoffs that he would have a physical after the season that would determine whether or not it would be safe for him to continue playing.

Patriots fans, sick of facing Manning year after year, were probably hoping that their arch rival would have to call it quits. Especially since it would be sweet for him to have to retire fresh off a 43-8 loss to the Seahawks in the Super Bowl.

That won't be happening though.

The results of that physical came in today, and Manning will still be around.

Denver Post:
In case 60 touchdown passes weren't enough, the Broncos have received further assurance there is nothing wrong with Peyton Manning's neck as he passed his physical examination Monday morning.

There is a provision in the five-year, $96 million contract Manning signed with the Broncos in March 2012 that requires his surgically repaired neck to pass medical inspection each year before the team guarantees his salary.

The Patriots will host the Denver Broncos next year, so round three of Manning/Welker vs Belichick is still on.
