Lance Moore visited with Patriots
According to reports, former Saints wideout Lance Moore "recently visited" with the New England Patriots, and is scheduled to meet with the Pittsburgh Steelers today.
It is unclear exactly when Moore visited New England. The fact that the free-agent receiver is visiting with the Steelers today, paired with the Patriots' acquisition of Brandon LaFell and re-signing of Julian Edelman makes it seem that the Foxborough visit will not materialize with a contract for Moore.
Moore is 5'9", 190 lbs. and would add another smaller receiver to the roster, in addition to Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola. Last season Moore reeled in 37 catches for 457 yards and 2 touchdowns in 13 games as part of the Saints' high-octane offense. In 8 seasons with the team, Moore had 346 receptions for 4,281 yards and 38 touchdowns.
The Patriots are reportedly bringing in troubled but talented receiver Kenny Britt today, and it is becoming clear that adding weapons at the position for Tom Brady is a priority for the team.
