Former OSU corner, Bradley Roby, cited for OVI; could he be a steal?

The point in putting this on here is that this could set up a steal for the Patriots later in the draft. Something like this will more than likely knock him out of the first round, given that this is not the first time he's been apprehended from an alcohol-related incident. Last year, he was arrested after a bar-related incident in Bloomington, Indiana, where he was ultimately removed from the bar and suspended for the 1st game of the 2013 season, SB Nation reports.
The Patriots have a history of success with players with sketchy histories, i.e. Aaron Hernandez...at least until he was arrested for murdering Odin Llyod. Before that, he and fellow tight end Rob Gronkowski were one of the best 1-2 punches in the NFL. We know what happened with Hernandez, of course, but Roby could be another pre-murder-trial Hernandez type steals if a team like the Pats want to take a chance on this guy.
The other way to slice it is that the Patriots decide not to draft this guy because they're thinking about the problems they had with Hernandez and they don't want a repeat of that disaster. This guy already has red flags on his resume, and so did Hernandez. Hernandez did a good job of covering the really bad stuff up, at least until last summer. Maybe I'm just being paranoid after Hernandez's case, though.
Red flags aside, he has good size and he had good numbers at OSU. In 2011, he put up 47 tackles, 6 pass break-ups, 3 interceptions, and 3.5 tackles for loss. 2012 was even better - he set a school record with 17 pass break ups. His line was 63-17-2 (tackles-pass break ups-interceptions)and 2 tackles for loss and he was also the only defensive player to score 3 different ways: recovered a fumbled punt and a blocked punt, and a 41-yard INT return against Nebraska. His line in 2013 in was 70-13-3 with 2 tackles for loss. The upside potential is there if a team (Pats?) would take a chance on him. The knock on him is that he could get out-muscled by bigger receivers on 50/50 balls (he's 5'11", 194 LBs), but he can break up passes and come up with an interception or 2 as well, so I'd take a chance on him if I were the Patriots.
