Gronk unsure if he will be ready for opener

Its safe to say that the Patriots want and kinda need Gronk to be good to go on opening day. But alas, it does not appear that Gronk even knows if he will be good to go.

“Oh man. That’s too far away, man. I’m just improving every day right now,”

Gronk continues to rehab after tearing his ACL in December, and will continue to work in New England as he repairs his leg. His surgery was delayed until January due to MCL concerns, and the patriots may not see Gronk until after the preseason.

Pro Football Talk makes a good point in their article. If we can get Gronk back for twelve weeks at full speed instead of the sixteen weeks at partial speed, that could be he difference between playoffs and not. We need Gronk to be fully healthy and ready to go. If that means that he can't come back for opening day, I don't see it being the end of the world if it means that he is healthy.
